As you know from my <\/span>previous<\/span> article on Quartz science<\/strong><\/span> <\/a><\/span><\/span>that Quartz is a conductor<\/strong>, receiver<\/strong>, and transformer<\/strong> of energy, it is essential that we as the users of the Quartz take time to cleanse<\/strong> it, clear<\/strong> it and charge<\/strong> it from time to time. This allows the exterior energy that enters the crystal to be removed<\/strong> and replenished<\/strong>. You can think of it as when your clothes are \u201cdirty\u201d they need to be washed, or when the \u201ctrash is full\u201d it needs to be taken out a new bag put in the trashcan. <\/span>Same<\/span> thing applies to working crystals, they need to be purified<\/strong> and charged<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There are many ways to clean crystals and there are many ways to charge crystals. You can combine techniques or use the ones you prefer, the most important is that you do this periodically for your crystal\u2019s peace and happiness. As the crystal is alive, you can ask the crystal or feel when the crystal needs a \u201cgood washing\u201d or to be set with a new intention.   <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/section>\n\n\r\n

You can charge<\/strong> and clean<\/strong> your crystals with every full moon<\/strong><\/span>, <\/span>you<\/span> simple gather them all up<\/strong> and place them together on a plate or tray<\/strong> and place them in your windowsill<\/strong> or if you can outside<\/strong> on your balcony or in your garden, on the eve of the full moon<\/strong> (every month). The crystals will then bathe in the resonance<\/strong> of the full moon, which will automatically cleanse<\/strong> and charge<\/strong> them for the <\/span>up-coming<\/span> month. Even if you do not have direct <\/span>moonlight<\/span> it is simply the intention that counts, what I mean is even if the moon <\/span>doesn\u2019t<\/span> hit your windowsill directly or is cov<\/span>ered by clouds the resonance of the full moon is still there and will reach the crystals.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You can charge and cleanse crystals with palo santo<\/strong><\/span>, sage<\/strong><\/span> or by smudging them. This is a gentle way to clean your crystals whenever you feel they need it. Simply light your preferred and waft the smoke around the crystals<\/strong><\/span> (using a feather or feathers to move the smoke would even be more ideal)\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A great way<\/span> to charge and purify is to use another crystal called Selenite<\/strong><\/span>. You can get a selenite plate, or wand or flat piece and place your crystals on-top of it for a few hours or even a few days<\/strong>. <\/span>The selenite<\/span> will pull out all the low energy<\/strong> from the crystals and dissipate<\/strong> it back into the universe. Selenite is <\/span>a like<\/span> a water filter<\/strong> for crystals.<\/span> (just be sure that the crystal you are cleaning can be in contact with Selenite\u2019s properties)\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Crystals also love to be charged in their native home, the Earth<\/strong><\/span>. If you feel called to place your crystals back in the Earth to be cleaned, you can dig a small hole<\/strong> or use a house plant and place the crystal directly in the Earth or wrap it in a delicate cloth. You can leave the crystal in their \u201chome\u201d for as long as you <\/strong><\/span>feel<\/span><\/strong> is needed.<\/strong> This is a technique specifically used for crystal that breaks<\/strong>, in this case the crystal sides that broke will be sealed by the power of the earth and made whole again. For this aspect, you will want to leave the crystal <\/span>in<\/span> the Earth for at least one lunar cycle.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Lastly, the most efficient and powerful way to cleanse and set your crystal with an intention is by doing the \u201cCrystal Cleanse<\/strong> Breath<\/strong>\u201d. This can be done as many times as you would like.  <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/section>\n\n\r\n

–T<\/strong><\/span>ake<\/strong> the\u202fcrystal\u202fin your hands.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

-Big inhales<\/strong> and exhales\u202f<\/strong>(tight and direct) into the\u202fcrystal, rotate\u202fthe\u202fcrystal\u202fslowly hitting all angles with your breath. You will do this to all parts of the\u202fcrystal\u202fand until you feel it has been cleansed with your breath and energy, it will let you know when it is (listen with your third eye and heart).\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

-Once the breath is completed, lovingly take the\u202fcrystal\u202fin your hands<\/strong>;\u202fbring-to-heart-center and repeat in your minds eye your choice intention (this is what you will want the\u202fcrystal\u202fto do with you, make it a direct short phrase or a word just like we do for our intentions).\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

-After your intention is chosen, send the intention<\/strong> into the\u202fcrystal\u202fvia your heart and all your mind\/body\/soul while you are holding it.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

-One more round of breaths towards the\u202fcrystal\u202fthis time, repeating\u202fthe intention<\/strong> in your minds- eye and sending it into the\u202fcrystal\u202f(you will know when this is done)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
