It occurs naturally in the dermis and epidermis, and keeps skin hydrated by retaining water in cells (thanks to its hygroscopic properties), plus it makes the skin more supple by maintaining the viscosity of synovial fluid – a fluid found in most joints. You can also find Hyaluronic Acid in the eyes, nervous tissues, cartilage, and the walls of blood vessels.
However, over time, natural levels of Hyaluronic Acid in the body diminish – and this gradually negatively impacts the condition of the skin. As it becomes less hydrated and duller, lines and folds start developing. In fact, it’s estimated that by the age of 50, the body has lost almost half of the Hyaluronic Acid it had at birth!

Hyaluronic Acid: Hyaluronic Acid is a gel-like substance that our body produces naturally, and which fills the spaces between skin cells, holding them close together. But unfortunately, as we get older, the body’s production capacity decreases. By the time we reach the age of 50, levels of hyaluronic acid in the skin have decreased by up to 50%, causing a loss of elasticity. We have chosen to use plant-based Hyaluronic Acid obtained through the biofermentation of corn with a lactic bacterium. No chemical solvents are used. This allows us to ensure a high level of purity and quality.
